Assignment 1
Matthew 1:18-23
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded
to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream,
saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is
conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people
from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,
saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a
manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Assignment 2
Matthew 3:13, 16-17
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were
opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
John 1:29, 32-34
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away
the sin of the world.
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon
him.
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou
shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy
Ghost.
And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
Assignment 3
Matthew 4:4-10
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give
his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou
dash thy foot against a stone.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of
the world, and the glory of them;
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy
God, and him only shalt thou serve.

And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Hebrews 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was

Matthew 5:6
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it
is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which

Matthew 5:27-28
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with
her already in his heart.
Matthew 5:43-44
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and
pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Assignment 5
Matthew 6:7-13
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be
heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye
ask him.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall
be opened.
Assignment 6
John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 10:11, 27-28
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out
of my hand.

John 6:8-14
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so
many?
And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down,
in number about five thousand.
And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the
disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing
be lost.
Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five
barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet
that should come into the world.
Assignment 8
Mark 4:37-39
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him,
Master, carest thou not that we perish?
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and
there was a great calm.
Luke 7:21-22
And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto
many that were blind he gave sight.
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard;
how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised,
to the poor the gospel is preached.
John 11:43-44
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about
with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Assignment 9
Luke 9:29-35
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and
glistering.
And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his
glory, and the two men that stood with him.
And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to
be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not
knowing what he said.
While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into
the cloud.
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Assignment 10
Luke 22:19-20
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which
is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed
for you.
John 17:4-5
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before
the world was.
Matthew 26:38-39
Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch
with me.
And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be
possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Luke 22:44
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood
falling down to the ground.

Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with
him for thirty pieces of silver.
John 18:3-7
Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh
thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom
seek ye?
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed
him, stood with them.
As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
Assignment 12
John 19:2-5
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple
robe,
And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye
may know that I find no fault in him.
Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them,
Behold the man!
John 19:15-16
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I
crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

Luke 23:33-34
And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the
malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment,
and cast lots.
Matthew 27:45-46
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is
to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
John 19:30, 34-35
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and
gave up the ghost.
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye
might believe.
Assignment 14
Luke 24:1-7
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre,
bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in
shining garments:
And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye
the living among the dead?
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the
third day rise again.

Luke 24:39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh
and bones, as ye see me have.
Revelation1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of
hell and of death.
Assignment 15
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Acts 1:8-11
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the
earth.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him
out of their sight.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white
apparel;
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is
taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
BONUS VERSE:
Hebrews12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him
endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
